"Government ought to be all outside and no inside. . . Everybody knows that corruption thrives in secret places, and avoids public places, and we believe it a fair presumption that secrecy means impropriety."
-Pres. Woodrow Wilson
About Us
We are a non-partisan group of volunteers who are making elections more trustworthy in NC by working with elections officials to ensure that elections are transparent, secure, robustly audited, and publicly verified.
Since 2019, we’ve shown up for Board of Election meetings, election equipment testing, canvasses, audits and other publicly observable election processes - this helps us keep our communities informed about decisions the state and each county BOE are making.
Understanding and observing election processes is what keeps our democracy working for the people.

Lynn earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She worked during college at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics and continued her career at Ball Aerospace after graduation. Her experience integrating and testing complex systems on numerous satellites taught her to think critically about processes, procedures, and accountability.
Five years ago, she used those skills to assess NC election systems, laws, practices, and procedures and what she found was deeply concerning. Using her leadership experience, she founded Transparent Elections NC, a volunteer group devoted to ensuring that NC elections are worthy of the public’s trust. She believes that a successful election is one where the electorate has confidence in the results — this means elections that are secure, transparent, robustly audited, and publicly verified.
When she’s not encouraging people in her community to get involved in election integrity, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and nature — hiking, kayaking, and foodscaping.
